National Certificate of Educational Achievement

Waiuku College offer NCEA as a recognised national qualification. NCEA is the primary secondary school qualification in New Zealand and is awarded at levels 1, 2 and 3.

    Entry into NCEA.

NCEA qualifications are organised by NZQA. Students are usually entered into NCEA during year 11 when they begin assessment at Level 1.

    Exams and Portfolios

Many assessments made within NCEA are done externally i.e. outside the school. Other Assessments are assessed within the school during the year. This allows a student to be assessed effectively in all areas.
