Waiuku College Community Education


 

Welcome to the Adult & Community Education (ACE) programme at Waiuku College.

We aim to provide courses that are affordable, in our local area, and use our school resources after hours.
The non-formal learning environment caters for a wide variety of ages.

Classes on offer in Term 3 include:

  • Quilt Art - The Water Queens
  • Quilt Art - Panel Masterpiece
  • Furniture Repair & Restoration for Women
  • French for Beginners
  • Tai Chi, Yoga
  • Working with Adobe Photoshop
  • Tukutuku
  • Workplace First Aid
  • "Street Talk" Drive Defensively (the last course for this year)
  • IRD Workshops - Going into business & GST, Not for profit and charitable organisations seminar

We are also offering Workplace Communication for students who wish to improve their reading and writing skills.

COMMUNITY GROUP FUNDINGquilt

This year Waiuku College has provided ACE funding to the following Community Groups:

  • Franklin Community Choir
  • Franklin Woodturners Club
  • West Franklin Community Mens Shed
  • Te Whanau Tupuranga
  • Waiuku Family Support

Funding for our ACE programme is provided by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC).
