Celebrate the Waiuku College 50th Jubilee with us over Labour Weekend. (22nd - 24th October 2010)
Waiuku College enters it's 50th year of education in the community in 2010.
We extend an invitation to all past students, teachers, staff, PTA, BOT of Waiuku College to attend our 50th Jubilee Celebrations at Labour Weekend, 2010. Please see the programme for a list of activities over the weekend. Sunday afternoon and Monday have been left free to allow visitors to catch up with family or enjoy the many attractions and beautiful scenery Waiuku and surrounding districts have to offer. Be sure to visit the recently refurbished town centre.
Local Attractions
The Glenbrook Vintage Railway will be operating on Sunday and Monday leaving from Glenbrook bound for Victoria Station (behind the Cosmopolitan
Club) every 40 minutes from 11am. The Awhitu Wild Food Festival and Country Markets on Sunday afternoon at Matakawau would be well worth a visit, as are all the stunning Awhitu beaches. An anytime stroll at Karioitahi Surf Beach or the Sandspit would be sure to clear the sinuses!
