Study at Waiuku College

Waiuku College offers a broad curriculum delivered by well-qualified and multi-cultural staff. Students work towards NCEA Levels one, two and three, and scholarship examinations in over 27 subjects. Maori, Japanese and Spanish language classes are taught to NCEA Level 3.

    English Language Support

International students are offered general and subject specific language learning through the ESOL department. Assistance is given toward school examinations as well as preparation for tertiary studies.

    School Terms and Holidays

The academic year runs from early February to early December with 4 terms, each of about 10 weeks. There is a 2 week holiday at the end of each Terms 1, 2 and 3. The summer holiday is from early December to late January. Students are accepted at the beginning of terms 1, 2 or 3.

    Requirements of Study

An ability to study in English, at the level applied for, is required. If a full-time ESOL programme is needed prior to starting classes, we can help arrange full-time study at another institution.
