Notice to parents: College is open on 23rd February
Waiuku College is open, as usual, for students tomorrow (23rd February), despite the current power fault.
Year 9 Camp Information and Permission Form
Every year Year 9 are encouraged to particpate in the Awhitu Experience Camp, this year the camp will be held from the 19th - 23 rd March.
We encourage all year 9 students to particpate in the camp particularly as it helps to:
- Enhance staff and student relationships
- Is a good introduction to Waiuku College Outdoor Education Programme
- Provides students with an opportunity to develop social skills, group interactions, self confidence and personal identity
- Encourage an appreciation and increassed knowledge os our local outdoor environment

Swimming Sports - the Results
Yet again, our annual Swim Sports event held at the Waiuku Pool was a huge success. Many students supported this event by wearing their house colours and being hugely supportive to the swimmers.
The College would like to thank the parents and supporters of the College who gave up their own time to support and help at the event

Junior Boys Champion: A. J Type of Totara
Intermediate Girls Champion: Annielle Ryland-Higgins of Matai.
Intermediate Boys Champion: Josh Cleland of Totara
Senior Girls Champion: Laura Cowling of Rimu
Senior Boys Champion: Evan von Battenburg of Matai.
Record were broken in :
1 Length Butterfly: Int Girls. Annielle Ryland Higgins.

1 length Breaststroke: Int Girls Annielle Ryland Higgins.

House Competition was very close all day but the final result was:
4th : RIMU. 514 points
3rd: MATAI. 566 points
2nd: KAURI. 702 points
1st: TOTARA. 715 points
Spirit Shield was awarded to: Joint winners: Totara and Kauri.
